In the Christmas spirit and looking to find where all the great Christmas lights displays are? Head over to http://www.nashvillefunforfamilies.com/christmas-lights-nashville-and-middle-tennessee-2013/ to check out where the best displays are in the mid-state. I recommend checking out the The Wrights at 207 Trotwood Dr in Brentwood and a home on the corner of Holt Rd. and Redmond Ln in Nashville. Of course, there are the mainstays of Jellystone Park and Opryland.
The non-Clark Griswold approach.
Stats are out for the month of November for Williamson and Davidson County, and the numbers are encouraging.
In Williamson County, the actual number of closings is down comparative to last year. The main reason for this to take place is inventory in the Williamson County area is down comparative to the last two years. This isn’t necessarily bad news, it just means people may need to do more digging to find the home they want and when they do find that home, be ready to pull the trigger on purchasing. The great news in Williamson County is the average sales price has gone up almost $60,000 over last year to an average price of $462,844. The days the home spends listed on the market is also down two weeks over last year.
In Davidson County, closings are actually up with inventory being quite a bit lower than last year. The median price on homes in Davidson rose almost $16,000 over last year to a median price of $195,000. Average days on market is similar to Williamson County with a home typically sitting on the market for 70 days. If you’re looking for something to do this weekend in Nashville, I suggest heading over to Tennessee Brew Works for their Grand Opening Party this Friday from 5-9 pm. They have been open a few weeks now and I confess I have been a few times already.
They have a great renovated building with live music on the weekends. Hang out on the first floor at a whiskey barrel table while listening to music and viewing what’s going on in the brewery. Have a big party? Head upstairs where there is another bar with tables and flat screens. I have tried every beer and I suggest going with the Basil Ryeman. I’m sure you haven’t tried anything like it. Head over to their website and check them out. Find more info on their party here: http://us5.campaign-archive2.com/?u=daf111c7b54075e59c966dc9e&id=0e810a77dd. Their website is http://tnbrew.com.
There is a new hangout opening today downtown near Rolling Mill Hill. This place appears to have something for everyone, check out this excerpt from their website: “Think of us as a comfortable place to work with a cup of coffee in the morning or a casual lunch with a co-worker. Think of us as a place to meet friends for cocktails and dinner. Think of us as a place to play, whether that means bowling or singing karaoke”
